Description

The Savings Bank, built around 1840, is a two-storey structure made of stucco. It features three sash windows, each set in moulded architraves with cornice hoods supported by consoles. The building has quoins at the sides and a moulded cornice at the first floor. The entrance is marked by a pilaster doorcase with a semi-circular head and a fanlight above it, along with an entablature and cornice. The windows on the ground storey have been altered. A plain frieze inscribed "Bank for Savings" runs along the building, topped by a modillion cornice and a blocking course.
