Description
The churchyard cross, now functioning as a sundial, is located approximately 5 metres south of the south chapel of the Church of St Michael and All Angels. It likely dates from the 15th century and is made of dressed red sandstone. The structure features four square steps leading up to a square base, which shows signs of probable carved heads at the corners, although these have been chamfered over time. The shaft is tapering and has chamfered and stopped corners. At the top, there is a moulded neck that supports a square sundial block, which is believed to be a 17th-century alteration, topped with a damaged pyramidal cap.
