Stable block. Early C18. Red brick with some grey sandstone ashlar dressings. Hipped plain tile roof. Two storeys. Brick plinth with chamfered sandstone top and central break with string course at eaves level and open triangular-pedimented gable. Central octagonal wooden cupola with moulded base, square piers, moulded cornice and ogee lead cap with globe finial and weathervane. Retains bell. 1:1:1 bays; 2-light metal casements with stone cills and gauged brick heads with raised keystones. Central blind (or blocked) gauged-brick round archway with keystone, and flanking small blind windows with stone cills and gauged brick heads. Painted wooden clock in tympanum of central pedimented gable. 2-bay left-hand end wall and one-bay right-hand end wall. Rear: Three ground-floor boarded doors. Interior not inspected. The stable block stands at right angles to the main front of Brand Hall (q.v.).
