Description
The former brewhouse, now disused, is located in the courtyard to the south of Oakley Hall. It likely dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of red brick with an ashlar plinth and dressings, topped by a plain tiled hipped roof. The building is two storeys high and features a moulded cornice at the blocking course and a stone floor band. There are windows on either side of the central entrance, which includes late 19th century fixed lights, with a tripartite window to the left on the ground floor. To the right, there is a wide 20th century garage entrance that has been inserted. The entrance itself has a six-panel door set in a round-arched doorway, complete with a plain fanlight above. A lateral brick stack is located at the rear, behind the ridge. Mid-to-late 20th century brick garages are attached to either side of the brewhouse but are not included in the listing.
