Description

The stable block, located to the east of the north approach to Admington Hall, dates from the late 18th century and has undergone restoration in the 20th century. It features a brick facade with lined stucco and a slate roof with brick chimneys, and has a rectangular plan.

The exterior is two storeys high and has a five-window range with a top cornice. A rusticated entrance bay, which projects forward under a pediment to the left of the center, includes a segmental-arched opening leading to a recess. Inside the recess, there are segmental-headed entrances to the rear and to the right, both fitted with plank doors, as well as an inserted garage door to the left. The right end has a segmental-headed entrance that leads to a stone stairway to the first floor. There are two windows to the left and three to the right, featuring sills and horned sashes, with 8/8 sashes on the left and 6/6 sashes on the right. The first floor has similar windows with 3/3 sashes. A round-faced clock is set into the face of the pediment.

The rear of the building is exposed brick with an ovolo-moulded brick cornice and includes a hipped two-storey projection to the right of center. The first floor and the projection have windows with stucco rusticated wedge lintels, some of which are sashes, and there is a lateral stack.

Inside, the stable block contains a tack room at the center, with one partition and plank lining for 19th-century loose boxes to the left, while intact 19th-century stalls are located to the right. Living accommodation is situated on the first floor.
