Description

This is a 17th-century dovecote located to the east of the north approach to Admington Hall. It is built from coursed squared ironstone and features a slate roof with a rectangular plan.

On the exterior, there is a plinth and coped stone gables topped with finials. The entrance, which is segmental-headed, is found in the gable end and has a renewed plank door set in a wooden frame. Above this entrance, there is a 2-light double-chamfered mullioned window. The steeply-pitched gabled roof is notable for its louvred turret, which has an ogee cupola and a wind vane. The rear of the dovecote includes a segmental-headed window with a brick arch and small-paned glazing, as well as a 2-light mullioned window in the gable. The right side features a low opening with single-chamfered ashlar reveals and 18th-century brick infill.

The interior has not been inspected.
