Description

A terrace of three houses was built around 1840, as indicated by a datestone. The building is constructed of red brick with a slate roof, featuring a prominent ridge stack to the left and an integral end stack to the right. The terrace is two storeys high and has a six-window front. It has glazing bar sash windows with painted stone cills and lintels. The entrances are framed by original pilastered doorcases, with decorative wreathed and radiating fanlights over the doorways at numbers 14 and 16. Numbers 16 and 18 have 20th-century doors, but number 14 retains its original four-panel door. A round-arched entrance leads to a passageway on the far left, with a datestone visible on the first floor. A late 19th-century two-storey brick lean-to attached to the left is not considered to be of special architectural interest. The terrace is listed as a complete and dated example of a small 19th-century domestic terrace.
