Description
The smelt flue chimney, now disused, dates from the late 19th century. It is constructed of red engineering brick in English Garden Wall bond and has a square section that tapers towards the top. The chimney features a stepped plinth and a moulded capping. There is a segmental arch leading to the furnace and the remains of a brick-lined flue on the south side. This chimney is a prominent feature in the landscape and is included for its group value.
