Description
These are disused limekilns, likely built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from regularly coursed and dressed limestone rubble. The structure features a high revetment wall with sloping buttresses and four segmental-headed kilns, which have engineering brick used for the arches. In front of the kilns, there is a platform with a lower revetment wall. The kilns are open at the top, and three of them on the right are connected by a segmental-arched tunnel, with brick ovens located at the rear. The left kiln appears to be a later addition. Overall, these limekilns are a well-preserved example of their type.
