Description

The limekilns located at NGR SJ 2631 2385 in Porth-y-Waen, Llanyblodwel, are disused structures dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed from roughly coursed and dressed limestone rubble. The high buttressed revetment wall features eight segmental-headed kilns that are open at the top, with yellow brick ovens situated at the rear. In front of the kilns, there is a platform with a low revetment wall. These limekilns are a well-preserved example of their type.
