Description
This barn, located approximately 20 meters south of The Willows, dates from the late 17th century and has undergone some alterations. It features a weatherboarded timber frame resting on an uncoursed limestone rubble plinth, topped with a corrugated iron roof. The barn has double doors on both the left and right sides, with three additional doors in the center. Inside, the framing is visible, consisting of square panels with two sections extending from the cill to the wall-plate, supported by long straight tension braces. The roof is a staggered single-purlin design spanning five bays, with raking struts connecting the tie beams to the principal rafters, which are curved at the first truss from the left. The interior also includes several reused timbers, and there is a loft above the right bay.
