Description
This sundial, located approximately 10 meters south of the nave of the Church of St Martin, was created in 1729 by Thomas Hampson of Wrexham. It underwent restorations in 1778 and 1841. The sundial is made of sandstone and features a baluster-like column with a moulded plinth and capping, standing on a base of three circular steps. The top step bears the inscription "Mr. EDW PHILLIPS & JOHN JONES CHURCHWARDENS 1778 RESTORED 1841." It originally had a brass plate on top.
