Description
No. 19 is a cottage located in Rhyn, dating from the late 17th century, with later additions and alterations. The building is timber framed with rendered infill and a plinth, topped by a slate roof. It has a two-cell plan, featuring square panels with two extending from the high cill to the wall-plate, supported by long straight tension braces at the rear and right gable end. The cottage has 20th-century casements set within the framing panels to the left and right of a central boarded door, which is sheltered by a 20th-century rustic porch. Above, there are late 19th-century slate-hung gabled eaves. An internal end stack is located to the left, with a 19th-century lean-to below. The cottage is also known as Sunnyside.
