Description

The signpost at the road junction in the center of the village of Morville dates from the 18th or 19th century. It is made from red sandstone and has a monolithic, square plan.

The post features a square base with broach stops that transition into a chamfered shaft. This shaft rises to a square head, which has rectangular recesses on either side for sign boards that are now missing. At the top, there is a pointed cap that was originally more elaborate and included a decorative finial.
