Description

This is a pair of chest tombs located approximately one metre to the west of the south porch of the Church of All Saints. They date from the late 18th century and are made of grey sandstone ashlar. The western memorial features side and end panels with wide incised borders and quadrant corners, fluted pilaster strips on the sides, and a moulded cornice on the flat top. It commemorates Mr. John Lockley, who died on 22nd February 1792. The eastern memorial has raised and fielded panels and a moulded cornice on the flat top, but the inscription was illegible during the survey conducted in March 1985.
