Description
The lime kilns, built around 1804, are located approximately 40 meters northeast of Brickwalls Bridge. They are constructed from roughly squared and coursed yellow-grey sandstone and consist of a pair of segmental-arched kilns featuring battered corner piers and canted retaining walls. An earth bank supports the rear of the kilns. These structures are situated near the Ellesmere and Llangollen Canal, where there was previously a wharf. The Brickwalls Bridge, which crosses the canal at this location, is not included in this listing.
