Description
The churchyard cross, located 10 metres south of the Church of St Mary in Burford, is a medieval structure that was restored in 1867. It is made of ashlar stone and features a square plinth with chamfered top corners. The cross has approximately 0.45 metres of the original shaft, which stands on four octagonal steps. The restored shaft supports a depiction of the crucifixion on the east side and the nativity on the west side, both set within a richly ornamented tabernacle.
