5/63 Hiles memorial approximately - 30m south of south transept of Church of St Mary and St Andrew

GV II

Chest tomb. Circa 1833. Sandstone. Rectangular. Moulded plinth and capping with slightly chamfered top ledger, fluted corner pilasters. Recessed semi-circular inscription panel on north commemorates James Hiles (died 1833) and another on south (dated 1836) with fluted corner spandrels, was largely indecipherable at time of re-survey (1985).
