Description
The Oakley memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 7.5 meters southeast of the chancel of the Church of St Mary and St Andrew, dating from around 1837. It is made of sandstone and features a rectangular shape with steeply inward sloping east and west sides. The tomb has a moulded plinth and capping, along with a steep chamfered top ledger and grooved corner pilasters. On the south side, there is a moulded inscription panel commemorating Elizabeth Oakley, who died in 1837, and on the north side, another panel commemorates her brother, Timothy, who died in 1848.
