The remains of an engine house, dating from the late 19th century, are located at the grid reference SO3195097976 in Shelve. The structure is built from regularly coursed limestone rubble and is currently roofless. It has a rectangular plan and consists of three levels, with two and a half walls still standing to some height. This engine house is associated with the former local lead mining industry and is a notable feature in the surrounding landscape.
