Description
The Wharfinger's House is a house that underwent remodeling around 1830, originally built in the 18th century. The ground floor is made of rough-coursed sandstone rubble, while the upper floor is constructed of red brick. It features a hipped slate roof with wide spreading eaves and three brick ridge stacks. The building has two storeys and consists of three wide bays, with a five-sided projection at the center. The upper floor has 16-paned glazing bar sashes with cambered heads, and there are blind openings flanking the central window of the canted projection. There are entrances at the center of the projection and in the angles between it and the main range, featuring six-panel doors with rectangular overlights and bracketed hoods.
