Description

Heath Bridge is a bridge built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of ashlar and coursed rubble. The bridge features a single segmental arched span that carries the B 4371 road over Heath Brook. It has a single ring of ashlar voussoirs and coursed rubble spandrels. The ashlar parapets and piers are topped with weathered capping, and there is a rounded ashlar string course at road level. The abutments and retaining walls for the approach road are made of coursed rubble. There is an old benchmark on the north (upstream) parapet and a late 20th-century benchmark on the south parapet.
