Description
The Stone House is a house dated 1800, constructed of painted roughcast and rendered stone. It features a hipped tile roof with a moulded ashlar cornice and a gabled rear extension. The house has integral painted brick stacks on the sides, with the east stack dated. It has a rectangular plan with a rear extension wing.
The front of the house is three storeys high and has a three-window range of 6/6 sash windows with raised keystones, and 3/3 sash windows on the upper storey. There is a central blind window on the first floor above a simple porch with a pediment and Tuscan columns, leading to a six-panel front door with glazed upper panels.
At the rear, there are 2-light casements on the lower storeys. To the right, there is a projecting two-storey gabled extension wing that features a roundel on the gable end at both storeys and casements on the side. The interior has not been inspected.
