Description
Heath Lodge is a cottage that likely dates from the 17th century, with some later alterations. It features a timber-frame structure that is partly rendered, a thatched roof, and two sandstone rubble stacks with brick shafts. The building is arranged in three bays running north to south and has one storey plus an attic.
The east elevation showcases three gabled dormers with eyebrows, each containing late 18th to early 19th century wrought iron casements. The ground floor includes a mid-20th century thatched canopy and porch, which has a segmental headed doorway and a 20th century studded door. To the right of the porch is a mid-19th century cast iron window with lozenge-shaped lights. The north and south gables are supported by scissor struts. The frame is exposed on all sides except the east, displaying three square panels between the cill and wall-plate. The interior has not been inspected.
