Description
The Primitive Methodist Chapel, built in 1842, is a single-storey red brick building with a Welsh slate roof featuring gabled ends. It has a small rectangular shape and an entrance located at the east end. The gabled front displays a central brick gabled porch with a stone lintel and a panelled door. Flanking the porch are large 16-pane cast-iron windows with central opening lights, set in cambered arch openings with stone sills. Above these, there is a smaller window in the gable and a weathered stone tablet. The north and south sides of the chapel are blind, while the west gable end has three staggered windows and a smaller window in the gable above. Inside, the chapel features arch-braced roof trusses, but the furnishings have been removed. Additionally, there are cast-iron railings and a gate with urn finials in front, enclosing a small graveyard area.
