Description
This is a chest tomb located approximately 5 metres southeast of the chancel of the Church of St Peter, dating from the mid-19th century. It is made of sandstone ashlar and features a plain plinth. The tomb has recessed panels with a semicircular flush beaded border and scalloped spandrels, along with fluted and beaded corner sections. The lid is shallow and pedimented, with fluted infill. It commemorates Thomas Lowe, who died in 1841, and his wife Susan Lowe, who died in 1849. The tomb is included for its group value.
