Description

The Turner monument is located against the north wall of the tower of the Church of St Andrew. This flat slab is made of sandstone and dates from 1659 and 1690. It measures approximately six feet long by three feet six inches wide and features incised margins. The inscription reveals that Mathias Turner was the Vicar of Holm Lacy and parson of Dinedor, and it notes the death of his wife, Theodosia, in 1690.
