Description

The coach house, cart shed, and stables, located about 50 yards north-north-east of Michaelchurch Court, date from the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with a roof made of corrugated iron and stone slate. It consists of three sections: the coach house at the south end with gable access, the cart shed in the middle, and the stables at the north end, both of which have side access from the east. The structure is designed in a simple Gothic style and is one storey with an attic.

In the southern part, there are two windows with two-centred arch heads featuring Y-pattern glazing bars, and the upper windows have vertical iron bars. There is a ledged door under a three-centred head and a double full-height door leading into the coach house from the south. The central section includes tallet stairs that rise towards the north window of the southern part, leading to an open-fronted hay loft above four segmental arches that open into the cart shed. The northern section features a centre ridge ventilator in the corrugated iron roof and three ledged stable doors beneath three-light rectangular fanlights.
