Description
Cross Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse that has undergone some 20th-century alterations. The ground floor is constructed from sandstone rubble, while the upper floor features square panelled timber-framing with a mix of wattle-and-daub and painted brick infill. The roof is made of stone slate. The building has a rectangular plan oriented east to west, with a central entrance and a rear lateral stack. There are 20th-century additions at the rear and alterations to the gable ends. The farmhouse is two storeys tall and has four windows, which include cross casements with a combination of leaded glass and 20th-century surface leading. To the left of the square-headed wooden framed doorway, which has a 6-panelled door, there is one 3-light casement window and a single-light window. To the right, there is one 4-light casement window and one 3-light casement window. The doorway is topped with a semi-circular shaped canopy.
