Description

A 17th-century barn with an adjoining cow shed and stable, located approximately 40 metres east of Cwmbologne. The barn is timber-framed and has weatherboard cladding, a sandstone rubble plinth (partially replaced with sandstone rubble), and a roof covered in corrugated metal and Welsh slate. It features three bays, including a central threshing floor. Attached to the north is a single bay of stables, likely added in the 18th century, and to the south, a two-bay cow shed. The stable has a single doorway, while the barn and cow shed have draught doorways and three chamfered, square-headed wooden doorways with ledged doors. The barn’s structure incorporates inclined strut trusses. Cwmbologne itself is not listed. 20th-century alterations have been made.
