Description
The cider mill at Flanesford Priory is a building from the late 18th century or early 19th century, possibly incorporating some earlier masonry. It has been altered in the 20th century. The structure is made of coursed and squared red sandstone rubble with a pantiled roof. It consists of four structural bays and features a central entrance. The building is single storey but has a 20th-century inserted floor that creates an attic space. There are three altered windows, including one two-light casement window on the left and two similar casements on the right, which flank a doorway that has a slightly elliptical head. The doorway contains a partly glazed 20th-century door, and there are skylights added in the attic. Additionally, there is a row of pigeon nesting holes located below the eaves on the left side. Inside, the mill and press are present. The cider mill holds group value with the former Priory refectory range and the farmhouse nearby.
