Description

This cowshelter, located about 20 yards north of Gannah Farmhouse, is likely from the 18th century. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and features a pantile roof. The building is L-shaped, with arms extending to the southwest and southeast, and has two levels. The south elevation displays six round piers and a gable front on the right side. The piers are filled with breeze blocks and corrugated iron, which includes two ledged doors. The southwest gable has a loft opening. Inside, there are trusses with angle struts connecting the ties to the principals. Gannah Farmhouse is situated in Bolstone.
