Description

The Parry memorial is a chest tomb located about 9 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St Andrew in Bredwardine. It commemorates Ann Parry, who died in 1819, and is signed by Evans of Greenmoor. The tomb is made of ashlar and features bold corner balusters adorned with paterae. The inscription panels are decorated with swags of husks, and there are classical urns at each end, along with a moulded cornice and a bevelled top. The inscription reads: "Sacred to the Memory of/ Ann Wife of George Parry/ who Departed this Life/ January 5th 1819/ Aged 66 Years/ [Verse omitted]".
