Description

The cider house and dairy, located on the east side of The Lays Farmhouse, is likely from the late 18th century. It is constructed from coursed sandstone rubble and features a tiled roof. The building has a rectangular plan that runs east to west and consists of two storeys.

On the north elevation, there is a two-light casement window slightly to the right on the ground floor, and above it, a semi-circular headed opening with close-set iron bars. To the right, there is a ledged door. The south elevation includes segmental brick-headed openings, one on each floor, located to the right of two doorways.
