Description

This is a churchyard cross located about 10 yards southeast of the southeast corner of the chancel of the Church of St Mary. The base and shaft of the cross likely date from the 14th century, with a 17th-century addition. It is made of sandstone and oak. The structure features a square base and a stump of an octagonal shaft that stands approximately 2 feet 6 inches high. At the top of the shaft, there is a turned 17th-century oak shaft, which probably supported a now-missing sundial.
