Description
The Harley Memorial, located approximately 30 meters south of the Church of St Peter, is a chest tomb on a raised plinth, originally situated within a railed enclosure. It dates from 1735 and is constructed of sandstone ashlar. The tomb has a rectangular plan featuring a moulded plinth and capping, with inscription panels that are flanked by gardrooned balusters. It commemorates Edward Harley, who died in 1735, and includes a lengthy inscription.
