Description
Bridge House is an 18th-century house that has a 20th-century extension and alterations. It is timber-framed with painted brick infill set on a sandstone rubble plinth, and it features a 20th-century concrete tiled roof. The house has three framed bays arranged east to west and faces south, with a central axial stack and a lean-to extension to the west and rear. It stands two storeys high with a gable-lit attic. The south front includes two 2-light casement windows, a central entrance with a 20th-century porch and door, and a 20th-century window in the extension to the left. The timber-framing is square panelled. Inside, there are two large open fireplaces with timber lintels; the west fireplace has a continuous ovolo moulded surround, while the east fireplace features a continuous hollow chamfered moulding with decorative stops.
