Description
Pear Tree Farm is a farmhouse dating from the 18th century, with alterations and additions made in the mid- to late 19th century. It is constructed of coursed dressed rubble, featuring a brick addition, a plain tiled roof, and a brick ridge stack located at the left end and to the right of the center. The building stands three storeys high and has a cogged brick eaves cornice. It consists of three plus one bays, with the single-bay section lacking window openings. Most windows have cambered heads, except for the window in the left bay on the first floor. The ground and first floor windows are cross casements, while the second floor has two 2-light casements. The main entrance, situated at the center of the three-bay section, features a flat canopy supported by shaped brackets, a half-glazed door, and a transom light with a central glazing bar. Additionally, there is a 19th-century single-storey wing at the rear, which includes an attic with a dormer and consists of three bays.
