Description
This description is for a group of two chest tombs located approximately 7 metres north of the west end of the north aisle of the Church of St Lawrence in Weston under Penyard. These tombs likely date from the early 18th century and are made of sandstone. Both tombs feature scrolled ends and flat moulded tops. The northern tomb has recessed panels that are decorated with crude columns and brackets, while the southern tomb has ends adorned with spirals and wreaths. The inscriptions on both tombs were illegible at the time of the survey in March 1986.
