Description

These stables, located about 30 yards west of The Brainge, were likely built in the late 18th century to early 19th century. They are constructed from sandstone rubble with brick dressings and feature a tiled roof. The building has two levels. The east elevation includes segmental openings, with two windows on the left and one on the right of three ledged doors. There is a brick dentilled eaves cornice and brick heads above the openings. Inside, the stables have collar trusses with curved principals. This structure is included for its group value.
