Description

The cow house, located to the north-east of the cider house and dairy at The Lays Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble with brick dressings and features a tiled roof. The building has a rectangular plan that runs north to south. On the east elevation, there is a circular opening with brick dressings positioned to the right of the center, a segmentally-headed doorway on the right side, and a square-headed doorway on the left side.
