Description

The building is an outbuilding located about 95 yards west-north-west of The Grange. It is a gatehouse that dates back to the 14th century and has undergone some later alterations. Constructed from sandstone rubble with sandstone dressings, the building has a rectangular plan that is roughly aligned north-east to south-west. The south elevation features a 14th-century entry on the left-hand side, which has moulded jambs and a two-centred head. Additionally, the west end includes one 19th-century vent loop on the left-hand side. The outbuilding is currently roofless.
