Description
This barn, attached to the west end of Eston House, is likely from the 18th century. It features a rubble plinth that has been heightened and finished in rough-cast on the west end of the north side, with weatherboards and a plain tiled roof that is hipped to the west. The barn has four bays aligned east to west. On the north elevation, there is a small late 19th century casement window above a high plinth to the left, full-height ledged doors leading to the threshing floor in the second bay from the left, and a ledged door to the cow house in the right-hand bay, which has two rows of woven panels above it. The frame consists of three panels high, except for the rebuilt roughcast portion. Inside, there are raking struts from the ties to the principals.
