Description

The Jones monument, located about 10 yards south-south-west of the south-west corner of the nave of Putley Parish Church, is a chest tomb dedicated to Elizabeth and George Jones, who died in 1803 and 1807. It is made of finely cut sandstone and features a steeply hipped capping with moulded edges. The tomb has a moulded base with corner balusters and recessed end panels, along with rectangular side panels that have quadrant corners leading to slightly raised inscription panels.
