Description
Pentre Higgin is a former house and barn that has been converted into a house. It dates from the early 17th century and has undergone alterations in the late 20th century. The building features two plus two roof bays and may be a derivative of a long house, with the house located at the north-east end and the barn or cowhouse at the south-west end. There is a gable-end stack on the house, with a spiral staircase on one side and a gable entrance on the other.
On the north-west front, there are three 20th-century two-light casements on the left, along with a French window to the right of the left window. The former barn has a 20th-century three-light casement. Inside, there is a doorway between the house and the former barn, which may be original. The roof of the house has collars halved to the principal rafters. Additionally, there is an inglenook fireplace on the ground floor and a stud-and-plank partition between the two bays.
