Description
The building is a house, now functioning as a restaurant, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a hipped Welsh slate roof with a brick stack at the rear. The building has a lobby entry plan and stands two storeys tall with a two-window range. The windows are 19th-century, 2/2 casements set under segmental arches. The central entrance has a 20th-century door within a 19th-century frame, also under a segmental arch, and is flanked by late 19th-century shop windows with plate glass, which are covered by simple hoods supported on consoles. The left side of the building has various 19th-century leaded lights and casements, with a range extending to the rear. Notably, the building incorporates a section of the City Wall. Inside, there is a straight flight staircase, and on the first floor, exposed masonry and 18th and 19th-century timber framing with laths can be seen. On the ground floor, a battered masonry wall is visible at the rear.
