Description
The cider house and stable, likely built in the 18th century, is located to the east of The Firs in Tarrington. It features a high sandstone rubble plinth and a timber-frame construction that is two panels high, with plank and woven infill. The roof is made of tiles and corrugated iron. The building is arranged in two bays running east to west. The south elevation includes a ledged door on the left side and a loft door on the eastern gable. Inside, there are three types of trusses: two vertical posts extending from the tie to the collar, raking struts from the tie to the principals, and a central post from the tie to the collar with raking struts. Attached to the west is a one-bay structure made of brick and timber that connects to The Firs.
