Description

This is a road bridge over the canal, located about 20 yards south-west of Lock Cottage. It features the date "1843" inscribed on a tablet above the arch on the west side. The bridge is constructed from coursed sandstone and has flat coping, a square section label, and a skewed segmental-headed arch. It is part of the extension of the Herefordshire and Gloucestershire Canal from Ledbury to Hereford, which was completed in 1845, making this bridge a late example of a canal structure.
