Description

This is an early 19th-century range of houses located on the West Side of The Southend. The buildings are constructed of red brick with a slate hipped roof. They are two storeys high and feature four windows. The windows are 12-pane sashes with glazing bars, each with a voussoired lintel incorporating a keyblock. The doors are panelled, with three panels each, and are set within pilastered doorcases with hoods supported by shaped brackets. Nos. 39 to 45 form a group.
