Description
This is a former stable, store, and privy dating from the early 18th century, with additions made in the early 19th century and the late 19th century. The building is constructed of conglomerate sandstone blocks, brought to course, with slate roofs and stone base courses to the south flank. A red brick lean-to addition is set to the north. The building comprises two bays, aligned east/west, with access from the north to the lower part and from the west gable to a store room loft, owing to the fall in ground. A window is set into the west gable end. A prominent feature of the brick extension is a Gothic lunette divided into three parts by wooden mullions. An early 19th century lower lean-to stable extension to the east has a gable-end doorway with rounded upper corners. At the north-west corner stands an early 19th century, square-plan privy.
